Autumn, a season of falling leaves and shorter days… A lifestyle shoot on location at this time of year calls for a great location and the correct light. When I’m shooting outdoors at this time of year I’ll use everything I can to get the best light and saturated colours from the season. A reflector or a burst of soft flash combined with a flame red backdrop or a coppertoned leafy panoramic vista will compliment a location portrait session. So when your wife announces 3 months before her big birthday that the only present she’d like would be an up to date portrait of her 2 daughters and 2 nieces, as the last one taken was 7 years ago… The girls all agree(1st hurdle), we sort a date(2nd hurdle), the date and time changes a number of times(these girls are busy young ladies).
