you’ve got to dance like nobody is watching, love like you’ll never be hurt, sing like there’s nobody listening and live like it’s heaven on earth…
– William W Purkey
The first dance for a bride and groom, (as the guests of honour) is to open the evening’s dancing. The style of dance is the personal choice of the happy couple, from the Teesside two step (rocking but not rolling), to a choreographed jig of twists and lifts. A little tip I will share with you, if the idea of dancing with your partner while all your friends and family look at you fills you with dread, then why not dance to a verse and chorus and then ask the band or DJ to invite everyone up to join you on the floor.
